Dr. Ju Hyeon Kim is an active orchestral cellist, soloist, and dedicated music educator. She holds a Doctor of Musical Arts (D.M.A.) in Cello Performance from Rutgers University, a Master of Music degree from the Manhattan School of Music, and a Bachelor of Music degree from the Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University.
As an accomplished soloist and chamber musician, Dr. Kim has participated in prestigious music festivals worldwide, including the Tanglewood Music Center, Sarasota Music Festival, and the Écoles d’Art Américaines de Fontainebleau in France. Her artistry has also been enriched through masterclasses with renowned cellists such as Gary Hoffman, Timothy Eddy, and Thomas Demenga.
Dr. Kim is a member of the cello section in the Delaware Symphony Orchestra. An experienced educator, she has taught students of all ages and levels, holding a faculty position at Rutgers Prep School. Her teaching approach focuses on building solid technical foundations while fostering a genuine love for music in each student.
